In 1991, my parents were on a road trip across the U.S. and brought me in Brazil a white teddy bear from Yosemite National Park as a gift in a bag from the place.
I don't have many young childhood memories but I remember this one perfectly. “Iôzemíte” I've named it, like saying “Yosemite” in a wrong way in portuguese, because that's how I read it on the bag.
On this day, 25 years later, he came back home.
